ALCES strives to create a unifying cultural event that promotes synergy between international artists, local artists, attendees, and the wider Victoria community.
In promoting Afro-Latin dance styles, music, history, and origins at events in Victoria, ALCES encourages cultural exchange, discovery of new artists, integration with local communities, and greater exposure for local performers.
ALCES promotes equality, diversity, multiculturalism, respect, and inclusion. Events are created with artists, taxi dancers, ambassadors, and attendees who represent diversity in race, gender, cultural backgrounds, age, identity, orientation, religion, political views, and lived experience.
ALCES is committed to an environment free from harassment, discrimination, and abuse. Harassment of any kind, racist behaviour, discrimination, and unwanted attention are not tolerated.
